git-flow software package provides Git extension to provide a high-level branching model, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install git-flow
git-flow is installed in your system.
Make ensure the git-flow package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep git-flow *
You will get with git-flow package name, version, architecture and description in a table
